SCC SUPPORTING THE FUND “FOR THE POOR HOUSEHOLDS” OF CAT LAI WARD, DISTRICT 2

On August 23rd, 2019, in response to the campaign of the People's Committee of Cat Lai Ward, District 2 and Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the ward, Saigon Construction Corporation (SCC) donated 20 million VND to the Fund “For the poor households”.

In the art program “Arts for the People” organized as a part of the campaign for the Fund “For the poor households” and the funding to support the investment in urban infrastructure, environmental sanitation, ensuring National Defense - Security in the ward in 2019 by the People's Committee of Cat Lai Ward, District 2 in collaboration with Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the ward, Ms. Pham Thi Bich - a member of the Party and Committee and the Chairwoman of Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Cat Lai Ward - gave a summary on the results of caring for the poor in the ward in 2019.

Particularly speaking, in the first 8 months of 2019, the People's Committee of Cat Lai Ward, District 2, has launched the campaign for the Fund “For the poor households” with the total amount received of 332,000,000 VND, accounting for 83.025% of the target of 2019. Along with the contributions of Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the district and the sponsors, the ward has carried out repair against roof leak for 6 charity houses, provided 8 health insurance cards for poor households, awarded Nguyen Huu Tho scholarships to students in difficult circumstances, maintained the “Kind-hearted kitchen” to take care of the households of poverty and near-poverty and lonely elderly people, established a “Free knitting team” to help the households to increase their income, built appropriate policies for poor households to access to preferential loan programs in order to create jobs and improve family financial situation, etc.

Participating in the program, SCC wishes to join hands to support the poor households and families in tough situations in the ward.
